Riesling
Riesling is a unique grape, because it can be used to produce wines for all occasions, whether sparkling wine for an aperitif, matured wines with wooden vinification for stronger dishes or noble sweet wines for desserts. But light semi-dry wines are also suitable for drinking solo.
3 special properties of Riesling:
- can age very well as a white wine
- all degrees of sweetness are possible
- mirrors the soil and the area in which it grows particularly well, i.e. it is a terroir wine par excellence
This is not to say that other white grape varieties also have these properties, but only Riesling shows that so concentrated and pronounced.
